A Dutch ‘world citizen’ that has moved and been moved around the world for the first 26 years. The latest 4 years have been more stationary in Stockholm. Somehow I became more comfortable with being at the same spot for a longer time. Is it because of Stockholm? Or is it me changing. I can’t imagine it is this place that is cold, dark and wet for 50% of the year. I got the chance to marry my Louise and also dig my teeth deep into the monster called Rowing. Realively late and new to the sport I figured it challanges me. It wants me to try to perform at my highest possible and it is an adventure to acknowladge to it. For 4 years I have combined this drive together with working at Point65. The Swedish kayak brand that is growing like crazy and the dynamic way the company develops as kept me inspired. Having lived in many different places and always adapting to the local circumstances have made me to an allrounder. I have always seen this as a strong side of me, but under recent years I have began to long for specializing into somethig and putting all my focus on just one thing. This one thing became rowing. Why? Because it fits me. It is a sport that does not require all that much athletical talent. No balls to fumble with and no tricky moves to learn. It is all about pure endurance, strenght and, here comes the contradicting part, gracious feeling for the water. What rowing lacks in adventure, ploughing up and down the same lake is not so adventurous, it makes up with the mental challenges to overcome. A 2000m race demands so much of a rower both physically but mostly mentally.
So that is me. Just an other Dutchee trying to make the most of it.

Thanks for visiting this site and hopefully see you somewhere out there!

Hi Paul,

Hamburger & Rosenquist samen in 1 finale in Peking …. ?

Hälsningar,
Martin

Mzzl,
Tim

He Rozenboom,
