Rehab!
12 04 2007Well, things, looked pretty grim for a while. Training in Racice was going along nicely when suddenly I got more and more pain in my lower ribcage. I thought it was a bruised rib which is normalish for rowers.

A few more trainings and I felt it was getting worse and I deciced to rest. When I got home it was hurting as hell and I really felt that this was gonna take a long time to fix. But, my doctor and Peter the fysiotherapist at Bosön thought it more looked like a screwed up stumach muscle! That was good news. Muscles fix faster than bones.
So we started excercising at Bosön. The main kitchen of Swedish high performance sports.
I decided that even though I cant row now, I should be able to improve other things that I dont work with otherwise. Stability, flexability, and basic excercises like step outs.

Luckily I can at least sit on a bike to get a good sweat so I’m not to worried about losing to much fitness. Damn, 60minutes on a bike is actually worse than an hour on the erg. Its at least more boring. But Metallica is helping me here nicely!

The bin ladin look is gone now…it did take me 3 months to get it though, but I was offered a free dinner to remove it…easy call
